Shops & Offices were built on lots leased from the Railways from the 1920s to 1990s when they could be purchased as freehold. No 187 & 189 were built in 1965, No 191 & 193 were built in 1952 and others built at different times prior.
Not much is known about the businesses on the north side of Commercial Road but there are a couple that stand out and are remembered.
